San Juans Wonderland (August 2007)

Installed flag halyard

I experimented with a flag halyard I could use to hoist an ensign and burgee, or raise a radar reflector. I added a small block to the starboard shroud tang closest to the top of the mast, and ran some small diameter nylon line through it.  Mounted to the wire shroud, near the deck, is a nylon shroud cleat from West Marine. I've tested this arrangment once, and it needs a little improvement, but it has promise.
