The day dawned with a promise of glorious weather. This was to be Whisper's debut with the Northwest Potters, and I had washed and waxed the hull to make our 2005 P-19's burgundy hull gleam in the sunlight. But in our haste to launch, we managed to put a significant gouge right through the gel coat on one side. Whisper was perfect no more!

Friday, June 24... We trailored Whisper from Shelton to Point Defiance on June 24, 2005 and spent the afternoon wandering the Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma. The Taste of Tacoma was underway, so after cruising the animal exhibits, we found some snacks to gnosh. Later, we went to dinner at Anthony's where my daughters thought a few of the waiters were "hot."
